If the ancient parochial church of Attigliano was the Castle from 1983, the center of cult of the village is the Church of San Lorenzo, outside of the wall.
Impressive with its structure and modern in its architectural canons, the new parochial church devoted to San Lorenzo Martire, patron of Attigliano, was built on a design of Aldo Stramaccioni and Aldo Franceschetti , and open to cult in the 1983.
It’s characterized by the mosaic of Santo Martire, above the entrance, which offers the riches of the church to the poor, the impressive bronze door and the big glass windows in “dales”.
Inside there is the via Crucis, work of Aligi Sassu and two statues created by the marble of Carrara: the first with Jesus carrying the cross; the second with the Madonna of Eucaristia.
