From the last Saturday of September until the second Sunday of October, in San Gemini is revival the most felt historical and religious event of the year: the Giostra dell’Arme.

Linked to the celebrations of the Saint Patron Gemine of the 9 October, revival in the medieval atmosphere which see the Rione Rocca opposed to the Rione Piazza in the equestrian carousel for the silver Palio which is made the last Sunday. 

A series of events, cultural and religious manifestations and the reopening of the taverns and the possibility of tasting the legendary Picchiarelli of San Gemini, make the feast one of the most important appointments , inside the panorama of medieval festivals , of Italy.

2021: the 48th edition of the Giostra dell’Arme

This year from the 25 September until the 10 October, we had lived the 48th edition of the Giostra dell’Arme with Dantesque theme  “E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle” , with didactic initiatives aimed at children, art exhibitions,  spectaculis of fire and light, theatrical representations . 

The heart of the feast was the ending weekend: Saturday 9 of October, feast of the Patron San Gemine, with the processiom in his honor and the medieval paintings made by the rioni, and Sunday 10 of October, with the match in the Campo de li giochi.
