Dated from someone even in the XI century and of benedictine rule, the convent is linked to a woman monastic community, was rehash during the centuries.
Of municipality property from 1899 and complete restored by the municipality of San Gemini, today hosts private habitations, the health and social district, the municipal library and the storic archive, Inside, in the different rooms,there are rests of frescos of the XV century like the half bust of Santa Maria Maddalena.
