One of the most beautiful things to see in Umbria, in Attigliano it is in the principal square, where you can find some dolphins; weird right?
Like to welcoming the people who arrive in Attigliano, from 1885 until now, the Fountain of Dolphins (or of tritons) was built by Rampetti of Amelia with the double function of urban furniture and of hydric supply of the community with the water which arrived directly from the sorgent , placed in the Bandita area.
The fountain, placed in the central Square Vittorio Emanuele II, not far away from the entrance door of the Castle of Attigliano, is began along the years one of the principal symbol and identity of the village and was realized with materials which came from the local Cave of Sant’Eugenia, place that preserves the homonymous Fontain.
