Following Via delle Rocche, through narrow streets on which are faced medieval buildings , lodges and vaults, you arrive in Piazza San Berardo where there is the house of who was the birthplace of the Franciscan protomartyr of Calvi of Umbria.
Suggestive and spiritual place, tells the story of San Bernardo de’ Leopardi , one of those brothers of Francesco who first preached first in Europe, then in North Africa, finding their death in Morocco in 1220.

To the memory of Bernardo, Adiuto, Accursio, Pietro and Ottone is dedicated the Cammino dei Protomartiri Francescani (the Way of the franciscan protomartyrs) which in six days retraces the places and the towns of the five Saints inside the territory of Le Terre dei Borghi Verdi:
The Way goes through Calvi and ends in Terni inside the Church of Sant’Antonio di Padova – Antonian Sanctuary of the Protomartyrs – where the relics of the Saints are preserved .
