Piazza San Francesco: the Church, the Fountain, the Municipal Palace and the entrance in the heart of San Gemini

Piazza San Francesco of San Gemini is a thin game of balance of architecture, beautiful like is thanks to : 

  • the XVIII century Palazzo Genuensi, today headquarter of the Town Hall;
  • the Fontana Gemine Astolfi, built in 1884 by the stonemason and carver Orazio Armili di Narni;
  • the Church of San Francesco with beside the former convent and the cloister;
  • The entrance toward Palazzo Canova along the homonymous street and the Porta del Sale, one of the most ancient of the village;

and of Porta Burgi which brings to the via Casventino inside of what was the first circle of walls of castle.
