Halfway through Via Roma you can see one of the most photographed places of Calvi dell’Umbria because of the viewpoint overlooking the valley painted by rolling hills painted green: Piazzetta Sora Medea.
The name remembers the midwife Amedea, the person who saw the birth of different generations of Calvi.
The piazzetta, in its beautiful simplicity, preserves even a roman sarcophagus with cupids holding up rows of garlands, probably coming from a rustic villa in the area.
Taking a breath, closing your eyes and reopening them, discovering a panorama that spaces up to Mount Soratte, is an experience that puts us at peace with ourselves and the nature that surrounds this village and our lands.
