Paragnano Castle is mentioned in a document of 1238 among the castles destroyed by Todi, and this is the reason because today we can see a few remains of masonry incorporated into the structure of the farm of the same name that today is abandoned.
According to tradition it was called Palagnanum because of the fact that Pale ancient deity of pastoralism was worshiped there.
