In the ups and downs of the narrow streets which cut Via Roma , principal inside the old town of Calvi dell’Umbria, one one accompanies to a little beautiful square with a panoramic view where on one side there is the architecture of the Church of SS. Trinità.
Probably the first core of the church needed to be those of the Madonna dello Sportello, built in this tract of the wall in the place where, on a wall, a painting of Madonna had miraculously cried.
Certainly we know that it was given to the supervision of the Maestro Rinaldo Iacovetti in 1523.
Was held by the Compagnia della SS.Trinità, built in 1589 which, associated with that one in Rome, assisted the pilgrims of transition to whom were dedicated the five rooms adjacent to the same church.
In 1629 it passed to the Augustinian friars who made it a school.

The renaissance building, which is on a rocky spurona a steep slope, is made of two volume is composed of two distinct volumes joined by a large triumphal arch:
Unfortunately, the inside which in the past was enriched by altars , furnishings and an organ, today is presented particularly bare .
Behind what was once the main altar, there are cherubs and pilasters in the form of stucco caryatids.
On the right side of the presbytery there is a fresco of a Madonna con Bambino and another fresco with the same subject is placed above the door of the sacristy.
