The old town of Calvi dell’umbria is dominated by Piazza Mazzini: heart of life and of the most important events, starting from the Celebration of San Pancrazio, that take place in the village.
Placed in a little slope, like the stage of a theatre, has the massive architectonic structure as a base, projected by Ferdinando Fuga in 1743, which is used as facade both for the Church of Santa Brigida, both for the Oratory of Sant’Antonio Abate which now preserves the beautiful Monumental Crib of the XVI century , work of Giacomo and Raffaele from Monreale.
On the left, for those who look the church , there is the Chapel of San Pancrazio which , during the time , has assumed the appearance and the function of a civic tower , with a clock and the arengo of the auctioneer, but it was born as the Chapel dedicated to San Sebastiano , the first patron of Calvi.
Was in this place that the administrators of the town , elected by the community, swore, agreements were reached, various types of sales and agreements were signed.

On the facade of the chapel are walled two bas-reliefs which seem to be from the ancient Church of San Pancrazio on the top of the homonymous mountain.
In the bas-reliefs are represented some figures which remember the historical contrast between Calvi and Poggio di Otricoli for the possession of the mountain and the subsequent conflict and agreement which is remembered every year , during the Celebration of San Pancrazio.
The symbols represented the arms of the coat of the Municipality with the flames, a parchment with ribbons, a radiant sun and two hands clasping.
On the facade of the chapel are walled two bas-reliefs which seem to be from the ancient Church of San Pancrazio on the top of the homonymous mountain.
