Una camminata di circa un chilometro nel cuore di San Gemini per scoprirne i monumenti e l’antichissima storia.

Loop itinerary: inside the walls of San Gemini

Starting in Porta Romana, passing through the course towards shops, bar, pizzeria, you arrive in San Francesco square with the homonymous church and the palace which hosts the municipality. 

Going back to Via Canova to admire the homonymous palace which was property of the big artist of the 1800 and, passing from the ancient Porta Sale, you arrive first at the Church of Santa Caterina and then to the Calori Museum.

Going down to Via del Tribunale you arrive until to the former Convent of Santa Maria Maddalena, you admire the church of San Giovanni Battista and the Porta Tuderte, then you go back to Via Casventino towards Palazzo Vecchio Square.


Before visiting the Palazzo Vecchio and admiring the Torre Esperia, a rapid visit of the Church of San Carlo and the return in San Francesco Square through the medieval Porta Burgi

At the end the return toward Porta Romana with the visit to the more religious place of the city, the Church of Santo Gemine, revised seems, just from Canova.
